A Costa del Sol Choir
Formed in 1988, The International Music Society , otherwise known as "TIMS" is a four part harmony choir that has been singing on the Costa del Sol for over 30 years. Our musical repertoire is extensive including Classical, Popular and Light Opera, aiming to suit as many musical tastes as possible – the popular songs of yesterday and today, selections from well known musicals including Broadway and film, extracts from the operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan, choruses from well known operas and many classical and sacred pieces.
TIMS is particularly well kn0wn for its popular Christmas Carol Concerts which take place in early December at La Cala Town Hall and other Venues. At present we have members of at least 8 nationalities represented amongst a membership of more than thirty.
We are always pleased to welcome new members, and whilst previous experience or the ability to read music is advantageous, it is not considered essential. More important is enthusiasm and commitment.
The choir is currently seeking a pianist to accompany them at rehearsals and concerts. Please use the contact form if you are interested.
